Biographical Note:
Karl Moore is a professor in the Strategy area at McGill University in Montreal. He has had numerous articles published in the areas of globalization and strategy, in leading academic and executive journals such as Strategy Management Journal, Business History, Marketing Journal, Canadian Journal of Public Health, MIR, European Business Forum, Business Strategy Review, AIB Insights, JIBS, Chief Executive, Human Relations, Leader to Leader, Across the Board, and Strategy + Business.

Louis Hébert is professor of strategy and international business at HEC Montréal. His interests encompass the value creation strategies firm implement to expand and exploit their international scope of activities, in particular through strategic alliances and mergers & acquisitions. Dr. Hébert has taught a variety of courses in International Business and Strategic Management in executive and degree programs in North America, Europe and Asia. He was recently named academic director of the HEC/McGill EMBA program. He published and presented several papers on the management of joint ventures, the internationalization of the firm and the management of the post-acquisition integration process, among others in JIBS, JBR, Organization Studies and MIR. Several of his papers have earned best paper awards, including the prestigious 1999 Journal of International Business Studies Decade Award for a paper on the control and performance of international joint ventures and the the "Guy Charette Award 2003" for the best paper published in Gestion during the year.
